AFTER SWIMMING his way around 50 outdoor pools, lakes and beaches in Ireland in two years, Brian Kenny set up a website, Outdoor Swimming Ireland, to spread the word about the free natural resource that tourists often find “a fantastic revelation” but that Irish people often leave empty and unloved. – The Irish Times, 2010

A member of the Dublin Sea Swimming community on meetup since August 2013, François took over the maintenance and development of outdoorswimming.ie from Brian in the summer of 2019. His vision is to extend this sense of community and the benefits of the sea, lakes, rivers and pools of Ireland to all types of swimmers.
