Following a 10-year absence, Irish triathlon will return to the international stage in 2023 with the staging of a Europe Triathlon Junior and Junior Mixed Relay Cup.

This is a significant step for triathlon in Ireland and is a key component of Triathlon Ireland’s strategic plan as we move towards hosting major international events.

Triathlon Ireland is seeking event organisers to partner with us in this process, specifically to host an event comprising a:

i) Europe Triathlon Junior Cup, and a  

ii) Europe Triathlon Junior Mixed Relay Cup

These events are intended to be hosted alongside an existing domestic event.

Triathlon Ireland will provide significant financial and operational resources to support the bidding process and the event delivery. The structure of the Local Organising Committee will ideally be made up of  Triathlon Ireland,  the Host Event, and the relevant Local Authority.
